Hear Ye, Hear Ye: T.I. Is Back In Full Effect

T.I. has been busy since his release from incarceration. He has returned with the new release, “ Hear Ye, Hear Ye” with the Neptune, Pharell. The music is reminiscent of  a classic hip-hop song from the 90’s.  The song is also an addition to numerous songs surfacing featuring the King of the South. T.I isn’t only providing us with long awaited music. Along with releasing seamless music, the Rubberband Man is now an author with his first novel, “Power and Beauty: A Love Story of Life on the Streets”, which is set to released this week. The King of the South spoke more about  his book to Rolling Stone:

“I am a fan of [Sistah Souljah’s] The Coldest Winter Ever and Midnight. I read them when I was locked up the first time. It made me look for other books to entertain and stimulate my mind in the same way and I couldn’t find one so I saw a void.”

A novelist was not a role that many thought to see T.I add to his resume. He continued to talk to Rolling Stone about potential titles for his now untitled 8th studio album. “The first of two album titles I’m debating is ‘Kill the King’ because in all that I’ve gone through I’ve observed how people respond to my circumstances, and I always wonder ‘Why y’all coming at me like this?’ But I thought, ‘How do you expect them to act?’” He goes on to explain, “Life is a game of chess and the object is to kill the king. If you anoint yourself king, you have made yourself a target. The second one is self-explanatory -‘ Trouble’.”

After promoting his book in New York on shows such as ‘The View” and “Howard Stern” on October 18th, he ended the day by debuting his new song, “Hear Ye, Hear Ye” on Hot 97’s Funkmaster Flex Show. Pharell, producer and featured artist on the track, assisted with premiering the song by calling in.

It looks like T.I is reaching the end of his road to redemption. Listen to T.I’s song, “Hear Ye, Hear Ye” featuring Pharell Williams below.

WHAT’S NEW: Diddy Apologizes For Ciroc Incident

During this past weekend’s BET Hip Hop Awards weekend in Atlanta, Diddy found himself in an altercation with a non-Ciroc drinker. He began lashing out at the club goer because he was not drinking the liquor that he endorses. This had the potential to become a physical altercation if renowned rapper T.I. had not stepped in to rectify the situation. As many celebrities have done in the past after acting out of character, Diddy took to Twitter on Tuesday to express his apologies for his actions.

Diddy’s apology:

“I’m a child of God and I should be better no matter what someone says to me. I’m sorry for the ignorant way I represented myself and us.”

If this is your first time hearing of this incident, see the video below. We can only hope that after this experience, Diddy has learned from his actions.

NEW GROOVES: T.I. Is Already Flexin’

The King of the South returns with vengeance with the triumphant single, “I’m Flexin” ft. BIG K.R.I.T, released on his official website on Friday Sept. 30th, the day after his release from an Atlanta halfway house. In the first verse he states, “Feds want me back behind that wall/it’s the only place that I can’t go,” which clearly shows his feelings towards ever returning behind bars. T.I is not only frustrated with the correctional system but with the state of rap music in general. In one of his lyrics he states, “ MC’s ain’t dope enough/I still split your coconut” and “The A is mine, no questions asked/The King’s home, now the best is back.” We sincerely hope that he has returned for good. Welcome back T.I.! T.I.’s new single, “I’m Flexin” will be available for download on ITunes on Tuesday Oct. 4th.  In the meantime you can listen to his triumphant return below. What do you think about “I’m Flexin”?

BREAKING NEWS: Taylor Swift Performs With T.I. and Usher In Atlanta

Since T.I.’s release from a half way house last week, everyone has been wondering where the Hip-Hip star would pop up next. One place we weren’t expecting T.I to be spotted was at a Taylor Swift concert. T.I. recently joined Taylor Swift on stage at her concert for a surprise performance. Toward the end of Swift’s set on Sunday night, she introduced T.I by singing the chorus to his hit single, “Live Your Life” which originally featured Rihanna. The crowd at Phillips Arena roared in excitement as the “King of the South” took the stage.  Taylor Swift has had surprise appearances before with notables such as Justin Bieber and Nicki Minaj during her tour. The Sunday show was a makeup performance for a postponed July show.  This is one of many appearances that T.I has made already since his release from the halfway house a week ago. Although any appearance by T.I now a days is cause for major excitement, Taylor Swift also brought out R&B super star Usher Raymond on stage last night in Phillips Arena while singing his chart topping hit, “Yeah”. Sounds like Taylor Swift provided an epic night for Atlanta along with the perfect compensation for her postponed show. I guess the wait was definitely worth it.  Stay tuned for more information and news on T.I., Taylor Swift, and Usher Raymond.
